to said approval of said Act hereunder and including a copy
of this resolution of approval of said Act.

AN ACT CHAPTER No.
514
RELATING TO THE SAINT PAUL HOUSING PM
REDEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY; PROVIDING FOR
SEVEN COMMISSIONERS AND TECHNICAL ADVISORY
COMMITTEE.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
Section 1. Notwithstanding the provisions of Minnesota
Statutes 1961, Section 462.425 or any other law to the
contrary, the city of Saint Paul shall have a housing and
redevelopment authority consisting of seven commissioners
who shall be residents of the city of Saint Paul, who shall
be appointed by the mayor of the city of Saint Paul, with
the approval of the city council of Saint Paul. Five Of
the commissioners shall not be public officers or employees.
Not more than two commissioners, at any one time, shall be
representatives of the city council of the city of Saint
Paul.
The members of the city council of the city of Stint
Paul appointed to such housing authority shall hold such
office for a period of five years, provided that they are
at all times of such service on the housing authority,
members of the governing body of such city. When such
members are no longer members of the governing body of
such city, their terms on such housing authority shall
terminate, and the mayor of such city with the approval
and consent of the governing body of such city shall then
fill such vacancies.
Sec. 2. The council of the city of Saint Pail shall
appoint a special technical committee consisting of
representative from each of the following agenci

public works department, city architect, city comptroller,
planning board, corporation counsel, housing and
redevelopment authority, and council investigation and
research bureau, and such other advisory members as it
deems advisable, to advise and consult with the commissioners
of the housing and redevelopment authoritY of the city of
Saint Paul concerning the programs contemplated by this
act, and to make such reports, at least every six months,
to the city council and to the members of the legislature
representing districts within said city or additional
reports as may be required.
Sec. 3. This act shall become effective only after
its approval by a majority of the governing body of the
city of Saint Paul and upon compliance with the provisions
of Minnesota Statutes, Section 645.021.
