PAUL OFFICE OF THE CITY CLERK CO COU FILENCIL NO PRESENTED BY COMMISSIONER Robert F• Peterson J DATE October 24, 1963 WHEREAS. the Commissioner of Public Safety has reported in accordance with Section 53 of the City Charter, the existence of an emergency during the period from October 1, 1963 to October 31, 1963, which rendered necessary the employment of certain employees in the Department of Public Safety for more than eight hours per day, or forty hours per week, in doing the following works Maintenance work in the Bureau of General ,Administration (Building Maintenance) and WEREAS, this emergency arose by reason of the following facts and circumstances: Shortage of two men on the crew, removing target range, boxing ring and nat from the St. Paul Armory, 389 N, Exchange; target range to Century Avenue and Linwood, boxing ring and mat to the Public Safety Building; and scraping and painting target ra nge . THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the proper city officers are hereby authorized to pay the employees who performed such work in accordance frith the provisions of the Council Is Salary Ordinance No. 6446.
