RESOLVED, that the State of Mi.nnesota,acting by and through
its Commissioner of Highways, be permitted to install and operate
an off - street parking facility adjacent to the State District Nine
Office Building, on the south side of University Avenue between Syndicate
and Griggs Streets, in Saint Paul, in accordance with plans submitted
to the City Building Bureau, subject to compliance with the provisions
of all applicabl City ordinances and State statutes and rules and

request of the Minnesota Highway Department for permission to install
a parking lot for their use and the use of visitors adjacent to their
existing District Nine Office Building, on the south side of University
Ave. between Syndicate and Griggs, in accordance with plans submitted to
the Building Bureau.

Gentlemen:
The Minnesota Highway Department has submitted a request to
install a parking lot for their use and the use of visitors
adjacent to their existing District Nine Office Building,
which is located on the south side of University Avenue
between Syndicate and Griggs.
The property has a frontage along the south side of Univer-
sity Avenue of 160 feet and extends to a depth of 191.5 feet
and will provide off street parking for approximately 48
cars.
The plans submitted by the applicant appear to be in conform-
ance with the off street parking lot ordinance and indicate
that one curb cut will be installed along the University
Avenue frontage.
I am recommending that the Council grant approval of this re-
quest so that.they may proceed with this work immediately be-
fore the cold weather sets in.
