WHEREAS, %be Commissioner of Public Safety has reported, in accordance with
Section 53 of the City Charter, the existence of an emergency during the
period from July 1, 1963 to Dec. 31, 1963 which rendered necessary the
employment of certain employees of the Department of Public Safety - Fire
for more than eight hours per day or forty hours per week in doing the
following work:
General duties of Fire Yarshal.
and WHEREAS, This emergency arose by reason of the following facts and
circumstances:
Employee was unable to take compensatory time off because
of absence due to sickness and injury during above period;
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED That the proper city officers are hereby authorized
to pay the employees who performed such work in accordance with the
provisions of the Council's salary ordinance, Ordinance No. 6446.
