County, Minnesota, adopted at the meeting held on November 18, 1963 ,
By Commissioner Delaney: >
WIIFAS Chapter 852, Laws of Minnesota for 1963, requires that ~ '
every employee of Ramsey County who is in the Classified and Uhalassified
Service of the Civil Service of such County and who has attained the age
of 72 years on or prior to the effective date of this Aat, must retire
from his employment by said County not later than January 1, 1964, and
if he attains the age of 72 years in 1964, he shall retire from such
employment on the first day of the month next following the month in
'which he attains the age of 72.years; and
WAS The Board of Ramsey County Commissioners will on December,
30, 1963, approve and effectuate said Chapter 852, Laws of Minnesota for
1963; Now, Therefore, Be It
R$SMVED By the Board of Ramsey County Commissioners that any
employee of Ramsey County who is in the Classified and Unclassified Service
_ - of'the Civil Service of Ramsey County who, by reason of having attained the
age of 72 years is required by the terms of said Chapter 852, Laws of
Minnesota for 1963, to retire prior to Jane 30th, 1964, may continue his
employment by Ramsey County in •a temporary capacity pursuant to the Civil
Service rules of Ramsey County 'until June 30th, 1964. _

retiring employees who choose to continue employment by Ramsey County on
a temporary basis and only such temporary employees shall enjoy the same
health and welfare benefits as are extended to the permanent employees
of Ramsey County, it being the intention of this Body that this procedure
shall in no event extend beyond June 30th, 1964.•.
