RESOLVED, That the Council hereby approves the award of the Purchasing Committee
therefor, and hdreby awards contract for furnishing and delivering to the Water
Department, Saint Paul, Minnesota, 25,000 Lin.. Ft. 6 ", 1,000 Lin. Ft.
12000 Lin. Ft. 3" Class 150 Mechanical Joint Cast Iron Water Pipe & Appurtenances,
3,000 Lin. Ft. 16% 1,000 Lin. Ft. 32" and 3,000 Lin. Ft. 8" Ductile Iron Pipe,
mechanical joint, with all necessary appurtenances to UNITED STATES PIPE & FOUNDRY
CWANY in accordance with City specifications therefor hereto attached and the
Formal Bid #9573 of said united States Pipe & Foundry Company for the contract
price of $83,280.00 (Board of Water Commissioners reserving the right to increase
any individual item of the materials of the Contract by an amount not to' exceed
25% of the quantity indicated for 'rt gc h item), such 'bid 'being the lowest and said
United States Pipe & Foundry Company being a reasonable and reliable bidder and
the Corporation Counsel be and hereby is directed to draw up the proper form of
(contract therefor, and the proper City officials hereby are authorized to execute-
said contract on behalf of the City of Saint Paul.
