RESOLED, That the Council hereby approves the award of the Purchasing Committee
therefor, and hereby awards contract for furnishing and delivering Valve Box
Sections to the City of St. Paul Water Department Storeyard, Aamline and
Carroll Avenues, Saint Paul, Minnesota, to CRANE & OKAY CONRANY in accordance
with City plans and specifications therefor hereto attached and the Formal Bid
#9551 of said Crane & Ordway Company for the contract price of $11+,497.50 (Board
of Water Commissioners reserving the right to increase any individual item of
the Materials of the Contract'by an amount not to exceed twenty per centum of
the quantity indicated for each item), such bid being the lower and said
Crane & Ordway Company being a reasonable and reliable bidder and the Corporation
Counsel be and hereby is directed to draw up the proper form of contract therefor
and the proper City officials hereby are authorized to execute said contract on
