PAUL PUBLisIiLD co` frcl� — r r11 P NO.� OFFICE OF THE CITY CLERK )UNQ,L RE$QL,IdT,ION—,0ENERAL File No. 215926 —By Bernard RM --llandl by request- eas, The Council of the City of JLr, Paul heretofore, by Resolution, I it File No. 215735, expressed its ti'cn, in order to minimize the peL,,)ns compelled to ry!:•e Ott... r7 ............. ..r WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Saint:�Paul heretofore, by Resolution, Council File No. 215735, expressed its intention, in order to minimize the impact on persons compelled to retire pursuant to the provisions of Chapter 851, Laws of Minnesota for 1963, when enacted, to- -permit employees who would be compelled to retire by virtue of the provisions of said Chapter 851 prior to the first day of January, 1964, to continue employment with the City of Saint Paul in a temporary capacity pursuant to the Civil Service Rules of the City of Saint Paul until the 30th of June, 1964, Now, Therefore, be it RESOLVED That the Council hereby indicates its further intention that those employees compelled to retire prior to the first day of July, 1964 by virtue of the pro- visions of Chapter 8515 Laws of Minnesota for 1963, shall continue to be eligible for coverage under the City's Health and Welfare Insurance Program during the time they continue to be employed in such temporary capacity by the City; be it FURTHER RESOLVED, That the City Clerk is hereby directed to send copies of this Resolution to The Minnesota Mutual Life Insurance Company, St. Paul Fire and Marine Insurance Company, and Minnesota Hospital Service Association; and be it FINALLY RESOLVED, That the Council of the City of Saint Paul hereby requests the carriers to agree to this modification of coverages under the City Group Health and Welfare Program by letter fmm each of said carriers to the City Clerk within ten days from the passage of this Resolution.
