WHEREAS, The CcamUsioner of Public Safety has reported, in accord-
ance with Section 53 of the City Charter, the existence of an emer-
gency during the period from Hecember 1, 1963 to December 31, 1963,
which rendered necessary the employment of certain employees in the
Department of Public Safety for more than eight hours per day, or
forty hours per week, in doing the following work:
Clerical work in the Bureau of Police
SAS, this emergency arose by reason of the following facts and
circ=Btances:
Tack of personnel to type reports and keep current ree-
orris up to date.
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the proper city officers are hereby
authorized to pay the employees who performed such work in accord-
ance with the provisions of the Councills Salary Ordinance No. 61416.
