WHEREAS, the Commissioner of Public Safety has reported in accordance with Section 53 of
the City Charter, the existence of an emergency during the period from December 1, 1963
to December 31, 1963, which rendered necessary the employment of certain employees in the
Department of Public Safety for more than eight hours par day, or forty hours par woek,
in doing the following work:
maintenance work in the Bureau of General Administration (Building maintenance
and
YT EREAS, this emergency arose by reason of the following facts and circumstances=
Repair of the boiler in the Public Health Center, repair of the electric door
in the Public Health Center, shortage of two men, plowing snow and maintaining a crew for
over the holiday.
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the proper city officers are hereby authorized to pay the
employees who performed such work in accordance with the provisions of the Councilts
Salary Ordinance No. 6446.
