WHEREAS, the Allstate Insurance Company, with off`i`ce
at 3043 Hennepin Avenue, Minneapolis, Minnesota, has requested
permission from the City of Saint Paul to use an area at
Midway Stadium for."the purpose of staging a safety demonstra-
tion where automobiles are to be equipped with regular tires,
snow tires, and with chains, to demonstrate effectiveness of
braking on icy surfaces with such variations of equipment;
and

WHEREAS, the Department of Libraries, Auditorium and
Civic Buildings is agreeable to having the Allstate Company
stage such a demonstration subject to certain conditions
hereinafter stated,
Now, Therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the Council of the City of Saint Paul
hereby authorizes the Allstate Insurance Company to use certain
areas of Midway Stadium free of charge for the purpose of
staging a safety demonstration such as-that hereinbefore
described on Friday, December 13, 1963, subject to the fol-
lowing terms, prokisions and conditions:
1. S91d Allstate Insurance Company agrees to save
the City of Sa- t Paul, its agentq servants and employees
harmless from any and all claims tiPfiieh may arise out of or by
virtue of the staging of such safety demonstration by said
Company, and said Company further agrees ,to save harmless the
City from any costs, charges or expenses arising out of any
claim as aforesaid, and to pay any ju(gment which may be
obtained against the City, its agents or employees as a
result of the staging of such demonstration.
2. Allstate Insurance Company agrees to accept,
abide by and be bound by the terms, provisions and conditions
-of this Resolution and will indicate acceptance of such terms,
provisions and conditions by letter from an authorized officer of
