WHEREAS, The Commissioner of Libraries, Auditorium and Civic Buildings has reported in
accordance with Section 53 of the City Charter, the existence of an emergency during the
period from November 3rd, 1963 through November 30th, 1963 which rendered necessary the
employment of certain employees of the Department of Libraries, Auditorium and Civic
Buildings, Bureau of Auditorium, for more than eight hours per day or forty hours per
week in doing the following work:
Supervise during various activities, operate ventilating system, operate
PB X Switchboard during events held in the Building.
and WHEREAS, This emergency arose by reason of the following facts and circumstances:
No other trained help available for work during hockey games, concerts,
opera, wrestling and other events held in the byilding. This time includes
Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays.
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the proper City Officers are hereby authorized to pay the
employees who performed such,work in accordance with the provisions of the Council's
Salary Ordinance No. 6446.
