RESOLVED, on the basis of the recommendation of the
City Architect., -which recommendations are hereunto attached
and made a part hbreof by reference, that the insurance re-
quirements contained in the General Conditions of the Specifi-
cations for removal of buildings pursuant to Charter in this
city, may be and hereby are waived in relation to A. B. Laing,
1807 Juliet Avenue, Saint Paul, Minnesota, who has been
awarded the contract for the Purchase and Removal of a Dwell-
ing, Garage, Fences, Sidewalks, Fish Pond, Steps, Miscellane-
ous Concrete And Debris at 635 Park Street, it being the under-
standing of the Council that the contractor, said Laing, will
engage the services of Semple House Movers, Inc., and that the
insurance provided by said Semple House Movers, Inc. as licens-
ed house movers, will be sufficient to meet the insurance
specifications as required.

Gentlemen:
Mr. A. B. Laing, 1807 Juliet Avenue, Saint Paul, Minnesota
has been awarded the contract for the Purchase and Removal
of a Dwelling, Garage, Fences, Sidewalks, Fish Pond, Steps,
Miscellaneous Concrete And Debris at 635 Park Street, Saint
Paul.
The General Conditions of the Specifications call for cer-
tain insurances which the successful bidder shall furnish.
Mr. Laing has turned the moving of-his dwelling over to the
Semple House Movers, Inc., and their insurance, as licensed
house movers, will be ample.
Therefore, we are requesting that the insurance requirements
contained in the specifications be waived for this particu-
lar contract.
