Following the practice of previous years, it is recommended
by the Commissioner of Parks and Recreation and Public Buildings
that a sum of money'', a mmade available for the 4th of July observance.
The sum of $1, 000 has been appropriated in our regular budget
18 -L -4, and the Commissioner is transferring an additional $750. 00
from other recreation funds, making the total $1, 750. 00. This
sum is to be made available to Mr. Tom Ackerson, Chairman of
the Annual 4th of July Celebration, who in turn will distribute this
amount among the five recreational districts. All money so spent
will be subject to audit by the Comptroller's office.
