WHEREAS, the City of Saint Paul and Milt's Towing & Wrecker
Service, Inc. heretofore, on the 26th day of December, 1962,
entered into a contract whereby and whereunder the aforesaid
� towing corporation agreed to furnish tow truck service for the
Department of Public Safety for a period of two years from
De mber 1, 1962; and
WHEREAS, as one of the conditions of said contract,
Milt's Towing & Wrecker Service, Inc. agreed to have available
for storage of City impounded cars a parking lot bounded by
11th Street, 12th Street, Robert Street and Jackson Street; and
WHEREAS, the State of Minnesota, Department of Highways,
has condemned the aforesaid tract and the aforesaid towing
concern is required to surrender this area to the Highway
Department as of June 7, 1963; and
WHEREAS, as indicated by letter from said towing concern
to Lester E. McAuliffe, Chief, Saint Paul Police Department,
said concern has presently available for parking of City impounded
vehicles a lot located at 601 North Fairview Avenue which it
desires to substitute in lieu of the parking lot that was
heretofore authorized by said contract if such substitution
is agreeable to the Council of the City of Saint Paul,
Now, Therefore, be it
RESOLVED, on the recommendation of the Chief of Police
of the City of Saint Paul, the Council of said City hereby
authorizes the substitution of the parking lot at 601 North
Fairview Avenue in lieu and in stead of the parking lot
described in the contract between the City and Milt's Towing
and Wrecker Service, Inc., said contract to be modified only
to the extent of this authorized change and all other terms
and provisions of said contract to remain the same; be it �,

FURTHER RESOLVED, That the aforesaid modification of the
contract between the City of Saint Paul and Milt's Towing and
Wrecker Service, Inc. will be effective immediately upon filing
with the City Clerk of a letter from an authorized officer of
Milt's Towing & Wrecker Service, Inc. agreeing to accept and
abide by the terms, provisions and conditions of this Resolution.
