INTERMEDIARY ORDER =° -
In the Matter of improving JACKSON STREET from the north right -of -way line of the
Great Northern Railway to Acker Street, -ACKER STREET from Jackson Street to Cortland.
Place and CORTLAND PLACE from Acker Street to Sycamote Street, by grading and paving
the widened roadbeds; by resurfacing the present pavement; by constructing curbs; by
reconstructing intersecting alley and street returns and sidewalks where necessary;
by constructing storm water drainage facilities; by constructing sewer, water and
gas service connections where necessary and by doing all other work which is necessary
and incidental to complete said improvement
under Preliminary Order 210336 approved December 11, 1962
The Council of the City of St. Paul having received the report of the Commissioner of Finance
upon the above improvement, and having considered said report, hereby resolves:
1. That the said report and the same is hereby approved and adopted, and the said improvement
is hereby ordered to be proceeded with.
2. That the nature of the improvement which the Council recommends is to improve, JACKSON
STREET from the north right -of -way line of the Great Northern Railway to Acker Street,
ACKER STREET from Jackson Street to Cortland Place and CORTLAND PLACE from Acker Street
to Sycamore Street, by grading and paving the widened roadbeds; by- resurfacing the
present pavement; by constructing curbs; by reconstructing intersecting alley and
street returns- and - sidewalks where- necessary; by- constructing -storm water - drainage
facilities; by constructing sewer, water and gas service connections where necessary
and by doing all other work which is necessary and incidental to complete said
improvement, -r
with no alternatives, and that the estimated cost thereof is $ - 36, 610.00

Resolved Further, That a public hearing be had on said improvement on the 3rd day of
July, 1963 _ , at the hour of 10 o'clock A. M., in the Council Chamber of the Court
House and City Hall Building in the City of St. Paul. That the Commissioner of Finance give notice of
said meeting to the persons and in the manner provided by the Charter, stating the time and place of
hearing, the nature of the improvement and the total cost thereof as estimated.
