WHEREAS, the Charter Commission of the City of n�;�tP:� - r::rl r'-
heretofore prepared extensive changes in the Charter 'oFYz18MAer
City of Saint Paul, which changes were adopted by the electorate
of said City at the election of November 6, 1962; and
WHEREAS, the aforesaid extensive changes in the Charter
have rendered obsolete and inadequate copies of the City Charter
presently available to City officers and to the public; and
WHEREAS, the City has heretofore entered into its customary
annual contract for re- editing the Charter and Legislative Code,
and it now appears desirable to have the Charter re- edited
separately with a separate index to be prepared, along with
the aforesaid Charter re- editing; and
WHEREAS, it further appears desirable that the Charter with
separate index therefor be contracted for at the time the City
lets the next printing contract on connection with revising and
bringing up to date the Charter and Legislative Code; and
WHEREAS, the additional cost of editing work will be in the
amount of $500 and the additional printing costs are anticipated
to be $500-over and above the customary annual printing costs; and
WHEREAS, these additional editing and printing costs were
unforeseen and unanticipated at the time of preparation of the
City's current budget; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the City Comptroller is hereby authorized
to set aside a sum not to exceed $1,000 of the Miscellaneous
Fund 31G under Item 31G4 - Miscellaneous and Unforeseen, to be
allocated for payment of the additional editing and printing
costs in connection with the revision of the Charter with separate
Charter index.
