WHEREAS, the Mayor, pursuant to sec. 10.07.1 of the City Charter, recommends the following changes to the 2007
budget:
i WHEREAS, the Department of Fire and Safety Services would like to purchase a new vehicle for the Fire
2 Investigations Unit, and

a WHEREAS, the current Fire Investigations vehicle is a modified out-of-service ambulance, that has broken down and
s is in need of repair, and

7 WHEREAS, the replacement cost of the new vehicle would be $30,000.00, and

s WHEREAS, itwould be more cost effective to purchase a new vehicfe for the Fire Investigations unit than continue to
to repair the vehicle they are currently using, and

The Depar[ment of Fire and Safery Services would like to purchase a new vehicle for $30,000.00 for the Fire Investigarions Unit The
cuaent vehicle being used by the Fire Invesrigations Unit is a modified out-of-service ambulance that needs repair. It would be more
cost effective to purchase a new vehicle than to continue to repair the old vehicle
