WHEREAS9 The City Purchasing Agent has reported in accordance with Section 53
of the City Charter$ the existence of an emergency during Mays 1963 which
rendered necessary the employment of certain employees of the City Purchasing
Department for more than eight hours per day of forty hours per week in doing
the. - following work:
Reducing overload of work,
and WHEREAS this emergency arose by reason of the following facts and
circumstances:
Overload of work;
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the proper City officers are hereby authorized
to pay the employees shown on the attached1listj who performed such pork in
accordance with the provisions of the Council`s salary ordinance No* 6446.
