CALLINAN 213 THOMAS, KING, DAUBNEY, SWENSON & COLLATZ ATTORNEYS AT LAW 1100 PIONEER BUILDING CAPITAL 4 -7461 SAINT PAUL (,MINNESOTA The Honorable City Council City of St. Paul Court House St. Paul 2, Minnesota May 13, 1963 Dear Mayor Vavoulis & Gentlemen: Re: Council File +212065 Please be advised that the undersigned is attorney for Roberts Construction Co., the owner of certain properties located at 1565 St. Paul Avenue and 1575 St- Paul Avenue, St. Paul, Minnesota, and from whose property at those addresses an easement is being taken for slopes, cuts and fills, including the right of removal of lateral support by reason of the reconstruction and paving of St. Paul Avenue from Edgcumbe Road to West Seventh Street, pursuant to the final order as contained in Council File 212065- As a result of the improvements to be placed in St. Paul Avenue, it will be necessary for Roberts Construction Co. to re- locate certain storm and sanitary sewer pipes, water service, re -grade and surface driveways, replace certain handrails and concrete walks and re- taining walls, and other matters. As a direct result of this taking, it is anticipated that the Roberts Construction Co. will incur expenses in the sum of at least $4. 000.00. Therefore, on behalf of Roberts Construction Co., we wish to object to the award of damages as proposed, and allege its damages to be in fact the sum of $4000.00.
