operate a 12 -car off - street private parking facility in conjunction
with a proposed 12 -unit apartment building to be constructed on
property at the northeast corner of Minnehaha Avenue and Edgerton
Street, more particularly described as Lots 14, 15, and the west 9
feet of Lot 16, Block 3, Borup and Payne's Addition to St. Paul, in
accordance with plans approved September 5, 1963, subject to
compliance with the provisions of all applicable City ordinances and
State statutes and rules and regulations of public authorities having
cognizance.

The City Council requested that you prepare a resolution granting the
attached application of Paul P. Gores for permit to install and operate
a 12 -car off-street parking lot in conjunction with a proposed 12--unit
apartment building to be constructed on property at the northeast corner
of Mi.nnehaha Ave. and Edgerton St. also described as Lots 14, 15 and the
west 9 feet of Lot 16, Block 3, Borup and Payne's Addition, in accordance
with plans approved September 5, 1963. f

Dear Madam:
This is in the matter of the application of Paul Gores to install and
operate a 12 car off - street parking lot in conjunction with a proposed
12 unit apartment building to be constructed on property located at the
northeast corner of Minnehaha Avenue and Edgerton Street which is de-
scribed as Lots 14, 15 and the west 9 feet of Lot 16, Block 3, Borup and
Payne's Addition. The property is zoned "C" residence.
The site, which is vacant, has a frontage of 99 feet on E. Minnehaha
Avenue and 135 feet on Edgerton Street resulting in an area of 13,365
square feet. The surrounding area consists of mixed residential uses
and vacant land. Field investigation discloses no objection to the
proposal which meets the standards for density and building ground cover-
age. The Traffic Engineer has approved the parking lot plan which meets
the standards for this type of facility.
In consideration of the above factors, the Board of Zoning recommends the
granting of the permit for a 12 car off-street parking lot on theabove
described property in accordance with plans approved September 5, 1963.
