OFFICE OF THE CITY CLERK FILE - COUNCIL RESOLUTION — GENERAL FORM PRESENTED BY Public Works COMMISSIONER DATE WHEREAS, The Commissioner of Public Works has reported, in accordance with Section 53 of theCity Charter, the existence of an emergency during the period from September 16 to September 30, 1963 which rendered necessary the employment of certain employees of the Department of Public Works for more than eight hours per day or forty hours per week in doing the following work: Taking care of complaints at city yards. Drawing plans and specification for grading and paving jobs. Mimeographing grade profiles and revising house numbers. Taking up sidewalk assessment reports. Inspecting city contract improvement jobs. And WHEREAS, This emergency arose by reason of the following facts and circumstances: Necessity of taking complaints at city yards, completing plans and specifications for grading and paving jobs, need•for grade profiles and house numbers, completing sidewalk assessment reports and inspecting work done by contracrors on street and sidewalk work. THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, That the propercity officers are hereby authorized to pay the employees who performed such work in accordance with the provisions of the Council's salary Ordinance No. 6446.
