City of Saint Paul in the Council Chambers in the Court House
in the City of Saint Paul on the 11th day of June, 1963, at

of Modification'No. 1 of the Redevelopment Plan for the
Eastern Redevelopment Project, as more fully described in

be approved, permitting the housing, and Redevelopment

Dear Madam:
This is in the matter of the application of the C & W Invest-
ment Company for a permit to install and operate a 49 car off -
street parking•lot on property located on the south side of
Pierce Butler Road at Hubbard Avenue which is described as
Lots 19 to 24, Block 12, Winter Addition. The property is
zoned light industry.
This is an irregularly shaped tract of land having a curvi-
linear frontage of 369 feet on the south side of Pierce Butler
Road and an area of approximately 27,794 square feet. The
area uses are commercial and light industry in character. The
Traffic Engineer has approved the plan which meets the standards
for this type of facility. Field investigation discloses no
basic objection to the proposal as there is a need for off - street
parking in conjunction with the Minnehaha Bowling Center which
it will serve.
In consideration of the above factors, the Board of Zoning
recommends the granting of the application for a 49 car off-
street parking lot on the above described property in accordance
with plans approved August 15, 1963.
