City Architect, that the builder's risk insurance require-
ment contained in the general conditions of the specifica-

Exterior Areas of Como Park Lake Pavilion, Saint Paul are
hereby waived in relation to Henry J. Roadfeldt Company,
who has been awarded the contract for this work.

Gentlemen:
Henry J. Roadfeldt Co. has been awarded the contract for
Sandblasting, Guniting and Decorative Finish for Exterior
Areas of Como Park Lake Pavilion.
The General Conditions of the Specifications under GC -20
Insurance and Indemnification, paragraph i contain a pro-
vision for Builder's Risk insurance. In connection with
remodeling or rehabilitation of an existing building or
structure, the amount of insurance would be twice the con-
tract amount or in this case $17,500.
Since the work involved in this contract will be sandblast -
ing, guniting and decorative finish applied entirely to the
exterior of the building, it is feld that this builder's
risk insurance may be eliminated and it is our recommenda-
tion that the Council approve this change in the specifi-
cations.
