WHEREAS, in the matter of Comptroller's Contract L -6558 for the
Paving of CEDAR STREET from Sixth Street to Seventh Street,
Pederson Bros. Company, Contractor, the specified date of
completion is June 28, 1963, and
WHEREAS, the Contractor has prosecuted the work diligently, but
due to the necessity of replacing the existing concrete base
which was found to be settled and deteriorated after the asphalt
surfacing was removed and efforts to coordinate their work with ,
new Dayton Company improvements in this area, it was not possible `�,
to complete the contract by said date of completion, therefore �'
be it
RESOLVED, That the proper City Officials be and they are hereby
authorized and directed to execute an amendment to said contract•
extending the •ti m of completion to JULY 255 1963, provided
however, that `this resolution shall have no force or effect ,
unless the sureties on the contractor's bond consent thereto -'
and file such consent in writing with the City Comptroller,
and be- it
FURTHER RESOLVED, That the City of Saint Paul hereby waives 811
claim for liquidated damages and that no engineering and inspection
costs on this project will be charged to the Contractor for such
extended period.

FURTHER RESOLVED, That the City of saint Paul, hereby waives all
