PAUL COUNCIL NO. ������ OFFICE -OF THE CITY CLERK FILE COUIEIL,7RE,90LUTION— GENERAL FORM ;until File No. 214049 —By James J. ,zDagllsh- r;, ;olved, That this Council, being 1 advised in the premises, finds _ mforeseen and additional legis- �.— Iacted by the Minnesota State its 1963 Session, affe ` ,cigar Cjurtc rP the Cit•- I+ mod. hleff , ed 1;�,? ql RESOLVED, That this Council, being duly advised in the premises, finds that unforeseen and additional legislation enacted by the Minnesota State legislature at its 1963 Session, affecting the Municipal Courts _ of the City of Saint Paul, providing for an additional Judge and an additional clerical staff, which necessitate additional equipment and office supplies, and increasing salaries for Municipal Court judges, which has resulted in the creation of an existing sudden•iand unforeseen emergency wherein the City funds appropriated for these purposes have become and are inadequate to protect properly the public interests; that to meet said emergency it has become and is necessary that, pur- suant to Section 206 of the City Charter, the City borrow temporarily the aggregate sum of not to exceed $30,000.00, and that the Mayor and Comptroller be and hereby are authorized and directed for the purposes aforesaid to borrow in the Cityts behalf the said aggregate sum of not to exceed $30,0006.00 and to execute and deliver to the party or parties making such loan, the promissory note of the City in the same principal sum, payable to said party or parties, bearing interest not to exceed four per cent per annum, and payable within one year after the date of such loan, and that upon the making of such loan, said aggregate sum thereof shall be credited to City Fund 31 BR, subject to disbursement for the aforesaid purposes of said emergency and the particular purposes of said fund'.
