Gentlemen:
In accordance with Ordinance 11542 the Car Mileage Committee
met Friday morning, July 12, 1963 and passed on the following
requests:
DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC SAFETY
A letter dated July 1, 1963 signed by Thomas H. Shanley Jr.
Deputy Commissioner, Department of Public Safety, requested
transfer from mileage plans designated at $75.00 maximum to
C plan - $75.00 maximum, effective July 1, 1963 for the follow-
ing:

These transfers were considered necessary for administrative
reasons, among them being greatLar flexibility in assignments
in work loads, districts and inspecting business places and
fire causes. The Committee recommends favorable action.

DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS
A letter dated July 8, 1963 signed by John J. Eichinger, Ad-
ministrative Assistant, countersigned by Commissioner Rosen
requested B Mileage, effective July 1,. 1963 with a maximum
of $75.00 for Mr. John Davis, Senior Engineering Draftsman
and Mr. Thomas Pretzel, Junior Engineering Draftsman.
These employees use their automobiles in performance of their
duties. The Committee recommends that these requests be al-
lowed.
It was also requested that Mr. Gerald Ernster be placed on
B mileage, effective July 1, 1963 with a maximum of $60.00
per month. Mr. Ernster is a member of the surveyors group
and uses his automobile in the performance of his duties.
This request is recommended for favorable action.
