Gentlemen:
This Department has a file on the building known as 501 Holly
Avenue and 71 to 79 North Mackubin Street, located on Lot 22,
Block 15, Woodland' Park Addition to the City of Saint Paul.
This is an eighteen apartment building, approximately 120 feet
by 48 feet, three stories high. The fire damage in the build-
ing has not been repaired, stairways, in some of the apartments
are very bad, porches on the rear of the build'u-ig are warped and
deteriorated, floors in entry halls are rotted, bathroom
floors in some of the units are rotted, the exterior of the
building is rotted in places. A large section of the roof is
burned out. This building is dangerous to life, limb, and ad-
joining property and should be wrecked and removed.
Danger Notices are posted and the last known owner is Cedar
Properties, c/o Schway & Gotlieb, 302 Minnesota Building, St.
Paul 1, Minnesota. Family Shelters, Inc. 1221 Washington Avenue
South, Minneapolis, have contract for deed.
Please set a hearing in accordance with condemnation procedure
outlined in Section 1.07 -2 of the Saint Paul Legislative Code.
