OF SA{NT PAUL, MINNESOTA
Presented
CONGRATULATING BILL BUTH ON HIS RETIREMENT
AFTER 33 YEARS OF SERVING THE
BUILDING OWNERS AND MANAGERS ASSOCIATION OF ST. PAUL
5 WHEREAS, Bill Buth has been a fixhue in downtown Saint Paul for over 3 decades; and,

7 WHEREAS, over those yeazs, Bill has attended nearly every City Council meeting, working with (or
8 irritating) more than 45 council members to make downtown Saint Paul a great place to work and live; and,
9
10 WHEREAS, Bill has been responsible for instituting numerous programs including an Automated External
11 Defibrillator Program, police patrols in the skyways, emergency call boxes in the skyways and automatic
12 doors in the skyways to make Saint Paul a safer and more user friendly city; and,
13
14 WHEREAS, Bill was instrumental in helping to create Downtown's District Energy system; and,
15
16 WHEREAS, Bill has spent his life's work asking questions and raising issues that impact BOMA members
17 and naveling tluoughout downtown and tl�e skyway system as tbe unofficial greeter of the skyway system;
18 and,
19
20 WHEREAS, Bill wili retire from his lifelong work in Saint Paul on March 31, 2007, but his
21 accomplishments and legacy will forever live on in our fine city;
22
23 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council congratulates Bill Buth on the
24 celebration of 33 years of service to Saint Paui and thanks Bill for his many contributions to our
25 community.
