COUNCIL RESOLUTION — GENERAL FORM

RESOLVED, That the Council of the City of Saint Paul
hereby takes cognizance of the pendency of certain legislation
now before the State Legislature relating to the compulsory
retirement of officers, employees and persons on the payroll
in the fire and police departments in cities of the first
class, requiring compulsory retirement at age 65, said
legislation being.embodied in S. F. No. 1040, as amended,
and
FURTHER RESOLVED, That the Council of the City of Saint
Paul supports the enactment of such 14gislation and hereby
urges the Minnesota State Legislature to pass such pending
bill, and requests the Ramsey County Senate and House
delegations to work towards such enactment; and
FURTHER RESOLVED, That the City Clerk is hereby
instructed to forward copies of this resolution to the
chairmen of the Ramsey County Senate and House Delegations
to the Legislature.
