WHEREAS, there has been established, by and through the
League of Minnesota Municipalities, that award for outstanding
and distinguished public service known as the C.C'. Ludwig
Award, and
WHEREAS, the designated judges chosen by said League shall
consider as nominees for said Award such persons who shall have
been nominated for such Award by the Council of a member Mun-
icipality, and
WHEREAS, the Street and Highway Engineering Coordinator!'
of this City, George M. Shepard, is a municipal employee whose
distinguished career began with employment in municipal con-
sulting engineering firms in 1919 and with this City in 1922,
which career has spanned every major municipal improvement in
the City of Saint Paul since 1922 and continues to the present
date, to the benefit and betterment of this Community, and
WHEREAS, the accomplishments and deserved awards of George
M. Shepard are well known and recognized, establishing said
George M. Shepard as an active candidate for the C.C.Ludwig Award,

Properties, 1050 S. Cleveland Avenue, Saint Paul, pursuant to petition
for vacation of an alley in Block 6, Granport Addition, as evidenced
by Receipt No. 37W issued by the City Clerk, be refunded to said
L. W. Bisanz Properties, as it now appears that the petitioner for this
vacation is the City of Saint Paula and the proper City officers are
hereby authorized to make such refund.

authorizing a refund to L. W. Bisanz Properties, 1050 S. Cleveland
Avenue, of the $15.00 filing fee paid by them in connection with the
filing of a petition for the vacation of an alley in Block 6, Granport
Addition, as evidenced by Receipt No. 3744 issued by the City Clerk,
as it appears that the City of Saint Paul is the petitioner in this
matter.
