WHEREAS, the City Architect has requested the City
Council to hold a public hearing to consider any complaints about
the expense incurred by the City of Saint Paul in removing a
dangerous structure at 44 East Winnipeg Street, more particularly
described as Lot 3, Block 5, Lewis Addition; and
WHEREAS, it appears that the last record owners of the
property are Elizabeth Pucztai Pillar and Barbara Pucztai, c/o
1082 Front Street, Saint Paul, Minnesota; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Saint Paul
hold a public hearing in the Council Chamber at 10 o'clock a. m. on
the 17th day of April, 1963, to consider any complaints about the
expense incurred by the City of Saint Paul and to confirm the amount
thereof; be it
FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Architect notify by miLil
the record owners of the property in question at the last known
address, also the Board of Public Welfare, 476 St. Peter Street,
and Mrs. - Vernon Olson, 1082 Front Street, Saint Paul, Minnesota,
who are other interested parties of record.

date for hearing in the matter of confirming the cost to the city
in the amount of $236.66 in connection with the wrecking and removal
of the condemned structures at 44 E. Winnipeg St., as more fully set
out in the attached letter of the City Architect.

Gentlemen:
A statement of expense has been filed with the City Clerk on
this date for the purpose of creating a lien on the property
known as 44 East Winnipeg. Street, described as Lot 3, Block 5
Lewis Addition.
The property is owned by
Elizabeth Pucztai Pillar, c/o 1082 Front St.
Barbara Pucztai,
CC: Board of Public Welfare, 476 St.'Peter St.
CC: Mrs. Vernon Olson, 1082 Front St.
In this matter, the following resolutions were adopted by the
City Council:
C.F. 208043, adopted by the Council July 10, 1962 (published
July 14, 1962,)set a public hearing at 10 A. M. August 1, 1962
C..F. 208465, adopted by the Council August 3, 1962 (published
August 11, 1962) ordered the wrecking by and at the separate
Eost and expense of the owner, occupant, or other person in con -
trol thereof.
C.F. 208949, adopted by the Council September 5, 1962 (published
September 8, 1962), directed the Commissioner of Parks And Rec-
reation And Public Buildings to enter the premises and wreck
and remove the structures thereon and do any and all things
therein necessary for the protection of life, limb, and adjoin-
ing property.
C.F. 209992, adopted by the Council November 16, 1962'(published
November 17, 1962), approved the award of the contract for wreck-
ing to All ,State Improving Co. for the sum of $197.00 in accord-
ance with specifications and Informal Bid No. 4551.

/ C.F. 2114344, ado ted by the Council February 27, 1963 (publish-
ed March 2, 1963, provided that thejwrecking expense of
$39.66 and expense of the Department of Parks And Recreation
And Public Buildings in connection with the condemnation in

the amount of $197.00, making a total of $236.66 be paid
out of Wrecking Condemned Buildings, 31 G 22., and, in the
event said sum proves collectible from the owner, same is to
be credited to 31 G 22.
The - building has now,been satisfactorily wrecked and a regis-
tered bill mailed to the owners,.
We are requesting that you hold a public hearing with ten
days' notice to consider any complaints about the expenses
incurred and to confirm the amount. The Council resolution
confirming the expense should end with a directive to the
City Clerk to. file a statement of expense for the purpose
of securing a lien on the property.
