• A public hearing having been had upon the above improvement upon due notice, and the Council
having heard all persons, objections and recommendations relative thereto, and having fully considered
the same; therefore, be it
RESOLVED, By the Council of the City of St. Paul that the precise nature, extent and kind of im-
provement to be made by the said City is to reconstruct the sidewalk on the west side of
Manomin Ave. and the south side of George St. from Manomin Ave. to the west 115 ft.
abutting Lot 1, Block 18, Lienau's Rearrangement of Blocks 17 and 18, Olivier's
Addition to West St. Paul, property known. as 541 Manomin Ave.
and the Council hereby orders said improvement to be made.
RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Commissioner of Public Works be and is hereby instructed and
directed to prepare plans and specifications for said improvement, and submit same to the Council for
approval; that upon said approval, the proper city officials are hereby authorized and directed to pro-
ceed with the making of said imprPovRemeft Akccordance therewith.

In response to your favor _of 15th inst., kindly be advised
that a standard five (5) of
sidewalk will be ample and
completely satisfactory, and I therefore request the new
sidewalk to be a standard five (5) foot,walk.
Sorry but I will be unable to attend any meetings or hearings
in this connection and trust these matters can be arranged
and the final order passed without such attendance on my part.

after which I expect to be out $f the city for a week or so.

The Commissioner of Public Works, having had under consideration the pre-
liminary order of the Council, known as Council File No. 207752
approved June 19th.
19 62 relative to reconstructing the side-
walk on the west side of -Manomin Ave. and the south side of George St
from Manomin Ave. to the west 115 ft. abutting Lot 1 Blk 18 Lien au
Re of Oliver Adds property known as 541 Manomin Ave
and having investigated the matters and things referred to therein, hereby reports:
3.25 per lin. ft. for 5' walk, $3.89 per lin. ft.
1. The estimated cost thereof is
for 6' walk, for mono. conc. walk 4"
2. A plan, profile or sketch of said improvement is hereto attached and made
a part hereof.
