COMMISSION
RESOLVED, That upon recommendation and report of the Commissioner
of Parks and Recreation and Public Buildings application be made to the
Commissioner of Taxation of the State of Minnesota under the terms of
Chapter 282. 01, Sub. 1, for a change of use from
establishment, maintenance and operation by the City of Saint
Paul, acting by and through its Board of Education in the premises,
of Public Junior and Senior High School Physical Education Play
Spaces and Athletic Practice Field exclusive of any use of the same,
in any part for the installation, maintenance or operation of any
permanent structural accommodation for the seating of spectators,
exclusive of any floodlighting to adapt the same for night time use
for any aforesaid purpose without any such exclusion preventing
the employment thereon of temporary or portable bleachers,
to public park, parkway, and playground purposes of the following described
land:
that part east of a line drawn parallel to and 726.'97 feet east of Snelling Ave.
of, the following: that part of the Northwest 1/4 of the Southwest 1/4 of
Sction 15, Township 28, Range 23, enclosed by the following described
line: beginning at the intersection of the southerly line of Montreal
Avenue and the easterly line of Snelling Avenue; thence southerly along
the easterly line of Snelling Avenue, a distance of six hundred twenty
feet (620. 01) to a point; thence easterly at an angle to the left of
seventy -eight degrees fifteen minutes (780151) a distance of three
hundred ten feet (310. 01) to a point;. thence easterly at an angle to the
left of eleven degrees twelve minutes (110121) a distance of four hundred
sixty feet (460. 01) to a point; thence easterly at an angle to the left of
ten degrees fifty -five minutes (100551) a distance of four hundred fifteen
feet (415. 01) to a point; thence northerly at an angle to the left of
seventy -nine degrees five minutes (790051) to an intersection with the
southerly line of Montreal Avenue; thence westerly along the southerly
line of Montreal Avenue to the point of beginning.
