WHEREAS, Under and pursuant to Ordinance No. 11542, approved August
4, 1959, the Car Allowance Committee provided for in Section 5
has reported its findings and recommendations to the Council in a
letter dated March 28, 1963 and
WHEREAS, The Council has made a study of said report and recommenda-
tions, therefore be it
RESOLVED, By the Council of the City of,Saint Paul that the employees
listed below shall be entitled to and receive mileage allowances as
follows:

In accordance with Ordinance No. 11542, the Car Mileage Committee
met Thursday, March 28, 1963 and passed on the following re-
quests:
DEPARTMENT OF FINANCE
Commissioner James J. Dalglish requested C Plan - $75.00 maximum
mileage for
Elter Dehn, Valuation Engineer
effective April 1, 1963. Mr. Dehn uses his automobile as Valua-
tion Engineer, making investigations and appraisals. The Commit-
tee recommends favorable action.
DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS
Letters signed by John J. Eichinger, Administrative Assistant,
approved by Commissioner Milton Rosen, contained the following
requests. One is for a change in the present B plan - $75 max-
imum to C plan - $75 maximum for
Louis Del Signore, Senior Engineering Aide.
Mr. Signore drives his car a considerable amount of miles each
month and the committee requests that this transfer be made.
Request on March 8 was made for the removal of
James Watters, Surveyor from B Plan - $50 max
Donald Ernster, Asst. Chief Surveyor from C Plan - $75 max.
effective February 28, 1963. These two gentlemen will not be
driving their automobiles in the performance of their duties.
Trucks have been provided. The Committee recommends favorable
action.
It was also requested that
Richard Brady, Surveyor, be transferred from B to C - $75
maximum, effective March 1, 1963. Mr. Brady is now surveyor in
charge of the survey party and needs his car in the performance
of his duties. The Committee recommends favorable action.

#2 - Hon. Council
In a letter of March 25, 1963 it was requested that
Hartley Thomas, Assistant Public Works Technician
be transferred from his present B mileage from April 1 to Decem-
ber 1 with $75 maximum to C Plan - $75 maximum, effective
April 1, 1963. Mr. Thomas will be performing the duties of
sidewalk head. The Committee recommends this change.
SAINT PAUL PUBLIC SCHOOLS
Mr. Raymond F. Brown, Business Executive, requested placement of
Mrs. Doris B. Sagissor, Substitute Home Instruction Teacher
on C Plan - $15 maximum, effective February 19, 1963
Mrs. Barbara Drolet, Speech Correctionist
on C Plan - $10 maximum., effective February 1, 1963
The committee recommends favorable action.
