RESOLVED, That the Purchasing Agent, upon.the
recommendation of the General Manager of the Water Department
be and he hereby is authorized, with the consent of the Mayor
and the Comptroller, to purchase from Carlson Equipment Company,
1380 West County Road C, or such other persons having legal
title, one (1) used Hydra Hammer Model SPAA 1000, Year 1957,
complete with backfill tamper, concrete punch, scoring chisel
and also extra wheel and tire on rear axle at a cost of
approximately $2,500.00 without advertising or competitive
bids, as an emergency exists whereas a failure to act promptly
would work hardship to the best interests of the City, the said
emergency being created by the early advent of the spring
construction season and the urgent necessity of providing much
needed equipment.
