WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Saint Paul has
heretofore by resolution established certain trust funds as
hereafter set forth, with the balance in each fund as shown:

WHEREAS, the Public Examiner of the State of Minnesota and
the Comptroller of the City of Saint Paul have recommended the
liquidation of the foregoing -trust funds for the reason that the
same have shown only limited activity over the past several yeas;
now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the Comptroller is hereby authorized to transfer
funds in the aforementioned trust funds by crediting their balances
to Miscellaneous Revenue in the City's General Fund and closing out
each of the aforesaid trust funds; be it
FURTHER RESOLVED, That nothing herein shall prohibit any
person having a valid claim for moneys due from any of the
aforesaid trust funds from filing or asserting such claim
with the City of Saint Paul; be it

FURTHER RESOLVED, however, that nothing herein contained
shall preclude the City from asserting any defense available
to it with respect to any claim asserted for any of the funds
covered under the aforementioned trust funds; be it
FINALLY RESOLVED, That the provisions of resolutions
establishing the aforementioned trust funds: Resolution of
the Council, C.F. No. 138568, approved December 24, 19461
pertaining to the Participating Certificate Trust Fund;
C.F. No. 185544, approved December 20, 1957, pertaining to
the General Sinking Trust Fund; and C.F. No. 135692, approved
March 8, 1946, pertaining to Building Wrecking Trust Fund,
are hereby cancelled and superseded.
