WHEREAS, The Saint Paul Division of Parks and Recreation plans to open the new
Highland Park Aquatic Center in June of 2007; and
WHEREAS, Parks and Recreation wishes to create excitement around the renovation and
grand opening of the Highland Park Aquatic Center by conducting a contest to name the new
children's activity park therein; and
WHEREAS, Parks and Recreation wishes to request approval to award a 2007 summer
open swim pass to the individual that suggests the ideal name, now
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that Parks and Recreation is authorized to award a
2007 summer open swim pass to the individual that suggests the ideal name for the Highland
Park Aquatic Center children's activity park.
