and hereby awards contracts for furnishing and delivering Valves as listed below to the
Water Department, Storeyard, Hairline and Carroll Avenues, St,Paul, Minnesota:
To: ALLIS- CHALMERS 14L0WACTURING COMPANY - One 36" Butterfly Valve, Rubber Seat
for the contract price of $3290.00
To: DARLING VALVE & AM. COMPANY - One 48" Butterfly Valve, Rubber Seat
for the contract price of $6308.90
To: M & H VALVE & FITTINGS COMP ANY, A DIVISION OF DRESSER INDUSTRIES, INC.
Five 30 ", Six 24 ", Four 20" Water Gate Valves, at a contract price of $26,,240.90
(Board of Water Commissioners reserving the right to increase the items of the
contract or the total order by 25%,),
all in accordance with City specifications therefor hereto attached and the Formal Bids
#9127 of said bidders, such bids being the lowest and said bidders being reasonable
and reliable ones and the Corporation Counsel be and hereby is directed to drawn up
the proper form of contracts therefor, and the proper City officials hereby are
authorized to execute said contracts on behalf of the City of St„Paul,
