WHEREAS, on February 18, 19632 the Board of
Water Commissioners informally approved a Resolution can-
telling that particular contract dated April 28, 1961, '
between said Board and Ashbach,Construction Company, and the
bond posted in connection therewith, which contract related
to reclamation of lime from lime sludge beds, a part of the
operation of the Water Department, which reclamation pro-

cedures have proved to be uneconomical; and
:WHEREAS, there has been no damage or loss suffered
by said Board during the life of said Contract, and said
Board has'in fact benefited from information secured under
said contract, now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Saint
Paul does hereby approve the Resolution and concurs in the
action of said Board of Water Commissioners in cancelling
said contract and releasing the bond posted in connection
therewith.

WIDMEAS, on February 189 1963, the Board of
Water Commissioners informally approved a Resolution can-
celling that particular contract dated April 280 19619
