RESOLVED, That upon the recommendation of the
Valuation Engineer and the Land Committee of the City of
Saint Paul, the Council hereby directs the Corporation Counsel
to prepare a Contract for Deed and the proper City officers
to execute such Contract for Deed whereby the City contracts
with the R and W Realty Co. to transfer title to said company
of the property described as,
Plat
Blocks 2, 3, and 4, Battle Creek Heights /1,
subject to a certain 20 foot wide easement across Block 3
for public sewer purposes, all as more fully set forth in the
recommendations of the Land Committee heretofore submitted to
the Council of the City of Saint Paul.

Commissioner Rosen made a motion, seconded by Mr. Weyandt,
to accept the recommendation of Mr. Eltor Dehn dated
December 2, 1963, copy attached, recommending the sale of
Blocks 2, 3 and 4 of Battle Creek Heights, Plat #1, to
Mr. Robert N. Walker of the R & W Realty Company for the
sum of forty -five thousand dollars.
Terms and Conditions of Sale are to be aprked out by
Messrs. O'Connell and Walker.
Meeting adjourned.

At the request of your Committee on Lands, the undersigned
submits the results of negotiations with three parties who
indicated an interest in a tract containing three blocks,
with an appraised value of $4 ,750.00, and with the legal
description as follows:
Blbeks 29 3, and 4, of Battle Creek Heights Plat Number One
containing 16.45 acres, more or less. Note: Block 3 is
subject to a 20 foot easement for a sewer as sham on attached
plat, extending from Mitchell Avenue to.Powers Avenue.
The result of the negotiatigu is as follows:
United Properties decided not to.make an offer.
Morton Berland decided to postpone his offer for two months.
Robert N. Walker, Treasurer of R & W Realty Co., offered
Mj0QQ,Q0s with a check of $2,250.00 as 5% earnest money,
and will pay another 5% when the offer is accepted. Balance
Is to be paid in three Listalloients at 6% interest.
I recommend that the offer made by R & W Realty Co. be accepted
on the basis of the offer made by the purchaser and with the
terias and conditions set out in the attached notice of sale, all
of which are agreeable to the purchaser.
