WHEREAS, The Commissioner of Public Safety has reported., in accord-
ance with Section 53 of the City Charter, the existence of an emer-
gency during the period from November 1, 1963 to November 30, 1963,
which rendered necessary the employment of certain employees in the
Department of Public Safety for more than eight hours per day, or
forty hours per week, in doing the following work:
Clerical work in the Bureau of Police
14HEREAS, this emergency arose by reason of the following facts and
circumstances:
Lack of personnel to type reports and keep current rec-
ords up to date.
THEREFORE BE ?T RESOLVED: That the proper city officers are hereby
authorized to pay the employees who performed such work in accord-
ance with the provisions of the Council's Salary Ordinance No. 6446.
