Dear Sir: 2 Nov. 21, 1963. it NOV Z1 1963 CQR'ORATIU(y LvUty &NE L MRS. AGNES H. O'CONNELL City Clerk HAROLD J. RIORDAN Council Recorder The Council requested that you draw a resolution granting the attached application of Pearson Candy Company to enlarge its parking lot as described in the attached letter of H. C. Wieland, and in accordance with plans filed October 4, 1963, which are attached. Very truly yours, / fY I City Clerk CITY OF SAINT PAUL•— MINNESOTA a OF ZONING, CITY OF SAINT PAUL 1315 CITY HALL AND COURT HOUSE SAINT PAUL T, MINNESOTA November 21, 1963 Mrs. Agnes O'Connell City Clerk Building Dear Madam: This is in the matter of the application of the Pearson Candy Company to enlarge its existing parking lot from 78 car spaces to 123 car spaces An enlargement of 45 ad- ditional parking spaces. The subject property is located on the south side of W. 7th Street between Homer & Rankin Streets and is described as: subject to Rankin Street, part of east 1/3 of S.E. 1/4 of SW 1/49 NEly of SWly line of said street; southerly of W. 7th St. and NWly of line run from intersection of E. line thereof and SEly line of Rockwood Ave. to intersection of south line of said tract and SEly line of Rockwood Ave. in Sec. 15, T. 289 R. 23. Field investigation by the Traffic Engineer and Planning staff indicates that this enlargement would be desirable as this lot would provide additional parking for employees and cus- tomers of the applicant. The applicant's Plan indicates one additional driveway would be'necessary from Rankin St. which meets with the Traffic Engineer's approval and that all of the requirements of the off - street parking lot ordinance will be complied with. In view of the above findings, the Board of Zoning at its October 10, 1963 meeting recommended approval of the applicant's plan to enlarge his private off - street parking lot from 78 car spaces to 123 car spaces in accordance with Plans filed October 4, 1963 in the Planning Board office and which are attached.
