RESOLVED, That the Council of the City of Saint Paul,
in behalf of the people of said City, hereby takes official
cognizance of the meritorious career of one of its most eminent
and respected citizens, Arthur E. Eggert, who was called from
this life by Almighty God on the 8th day of November, 1963
after many years of valuable service in the interests of
citizens of the City of Saint Paul; a St. Paul native, Mr.
Eggert had served the City as Purchasing Agent early in his
career and as Deputy Commissioner of Education, was associated
with the St. Paul Chamber of Commerce as public affairs secretary,
and was vice president in charge of public relations of Minnesota
Mining and Manufacturing Company until his retirement in 1959; and
RESOLVED, That the Council on its own behalf and on
behalf of the citizens of the City of Saint Paul hereby extends
sympathy and condolence to his surviving spouse, Frances Eggert,
and to the members of his family; and
FURTHER RESOLVED, That
this resolution be spread on the
of the City of Saint Paul.
