Initiating Problem, Issues, Opportunity (Who, What, When, Where, Why):
In 1950 the Ciry accepted a Use Deed for several tas-forfeited parcels for the purpose of assembling land for a relocated Johnson High
School. During that flme, the City was sflll responsible for school administraflon. Now tha[ the Saint Paul School District is a separate
legal entity, the pazcels in the Use Deed may now be reconveyed to the State of Minnesota for subsequent conveyance ro the School
District. Two of the pazcels are not needed by the School District (or the City) and will be sold by Raznsey County at an upcoming
aucfion of taY-forfeited properties. This resolufion authorizes the reconveyance of the parcels and payment of Yecording fees.
Advantages HApproved:
The tac-forfeit pazcels will be placed in the proper ownership of the School District. Two of the pazcels may be aucfloned off for
private, taY-paying development.

The tac-forfeit pazcels being used for Johnson HS will unnecessarily remain in City ownership. Two pazcels neither needed by the City
or the School Disfrict will be unavailable for development.
