RESOLVED, That the Council hereby approves the award of the Purchasing Committee therefor,
and hereby awards contract for furnishing and delivering to the Water Department, St. Paul,
Minnesota, approx. 3165 Lin. Ft. 16" Ductile Iron Pipe with fittings and appurtenances,
to AMERICAN CAST IRON PIPE COMPANY in accordance with City plans and specifications
therefor hereto attached and the Formal Bid #9240 of said American Cast Iron Pipe Company
for the contract price of approximately $20,710.57 (Board of Water Commissioners reserving
the right to increase any individual item of the Materials of the Contract by an amount
not to exceed twenty per cent of the quantity indicated for each - item), such bid being
the only bid and said American Cast Iron Pipe Company being a reasonable and reliable
bidder and the Corporation Counsel be and hereby.is directed to draw up the proper form
of contract therefor, and the proper City officials hereby are authorized to execute
said contract on behalf of the City of St. Paul.
