VMREAS, the Commissioner of Public Safety has reported in accordance with Section 53
of the City Charter, the existence of an emergency during the period from April 1, 1963
to April 30, 1963, which rendered necessary the employment of certain employees in the
Department of Public Safety for more than eight hours per day, or forty hours per week,
in doing the following work:
Mintenance work in the Bureau of General &dministration (Building Maintenance)
and
WHEREAS, this emergency arose by reason of the following facts and circumstances:
Putting into operation the air conditioning unit in the Public Health Center and
repairing and remodeling in the Public Safety Building.
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVEDt That the proper city officers are hereby authorized to pay
the employees who performed such work in accordance with the provisions of the Council's
Salary Ordinance No. 6446.
