WHEREAS, The Commissioner of Public Safety has reported, in
accordance with Section 53 of the City Charter, the exist-
ence of an emergency during the period from April 1, 1963 to
April 30, 1963, which rendered necessary the employment of
certain employees in the Department of Public Safety for
more than eight hours per day, or forty hours per week, in
doing the following work:
Clerical work in the Bureau of Police
TMREAS, this emergency arose by reason of the following
facts and circumstances:
Lack of personnel to type reports and keep cur-
rent records up to date.
THEREFCRE BE IT RESOLTTED: That the proper city officers are
hereby authorized to pay the employees who performed such
work in accordance with the provisions of the Councilts Sal-
ary Ordinance No. &t46.
