Council City of Saint Paul Gentlemen: ,,7f,--7, 3 �J(c In accordance with Ordinance No. 11542, the Car Mileage Committee met this morning, -April 23, 1963 and passed on the following re- quests: DEPARTMENT OF PARKS AND RECREATION AND PUBLIC BUILDINGS Commissioner Frank, L. Loss requested that Lawrence J. Unger -, Craft Instructor for the Wilder Day Camp of the Recreation Division be placed on Plan C with a maximum of $75.00 per month for the months of June, July and August, 1963 as Mr. Unger provides transportation for the Day Camping activities. The Committee recommends favorable action. DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS A letter signed by John J. Eichinger, Administrative Assistant, approved by Commissioner Milton Rosen, requested removal of Guy Stoddard, foreman, from B plan $75.00 maximum effective April 1, 1963 as Mr. Stoddard has retired. The letter included a request to put James Stahnke, Junior En- gineering Draftsman, on C - $60.00 maximum, effective April 1, 1963. Mr. Stahnke is working.in the sidewalk division and will be using his car as he is a district inspector covering one sidewalk district in the city. The Committee recommends that both these requests be granted. WATER DEPARTMENT . A'letter signed by Clifford W. Hamblin, General Manager, asked for removal of Leonard N. Thompson from C $75.00 maximum, effective April 1, 1963. The Committee recommends this request be granted. #2 Council DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC SAFETY A letter signed by Thomas J. Shanley, Deputy Commissioner of Public Safety, requested that Detective Anthony Tighe be re- moved from B $50.00 and placed on C - $75.00 maximum, effec- tive April 1, 1963. The Committee recommends favorable action. SAINT PAUL 'PUBLIC SCHOOLS It was requested that John M. Gran, Assistant Superintendent of Schools be removed from C - $50.00 maximum affective April 23, 1963. Mr. Gran passed away. The committee recommends favorable action. Sincerely, Alf H.
