RIORDAN Council Recorder April 19, 1963- ,Dear Sir: The City Council requested that you draw a resolution ..; granting the attached application of Minnesota Lumber and Wrecking Compa0 for fences, as described in the attached letter of Alfred H. Schroeder. Very truly yours, ^; A.-- Clerk CITY OF SAINT PAUL - MINNESOTA 8 i -CI;TY OF SAINT PAUL l.An4Ai n; Minnnen4,a 1 oil BUREAU OF PUBLIC BUILDINGS ALFRED H. SCHROEDER, City Architect 445 City Hall, Zone 2 CApital 4 -4612 Ext. 361 April 18, 1963 Honorable Council City of Saint Paul Gentlemen: On April 8, 1963 the Minnesota Lumber and Wrecking Company requested.- permission for the construction of a seven foot high solid board fence along their property line on Pierce Butler Drive, the fence to be approximately 377 feet in length and to be painted. They also asked permission to construct a six foot high chain link fence on the property located on the northeast corner of Albert and Pierce Butler Drive, which is used for a parking lot for trucks and other equipment. This office has made a survey of the site and have discussed this matter with the Minnesota Lumber and Wrecking Company and recommends approval of a seven foot high solid board fence,to be painted a neutral color, on their property line on Pierce Butler Drive, and also recommends the chain link fence on the other portion of their property. There have been several complaints relative to this operation and we feel that putting up this tight board fence and hiding the view of the neighbors which are across the street would be very advantageous and recommend its passage. Sincerely yours, t Alfp46 H. Schroeder CI ARCHITECT AHS:gg 0/ DEMOLITION CONTRACTORS OFFICE Minnesota Lumber & Wrecking Corp. 284 FRY ST. ST. PAUL 4, MINN.
